About Me

Meet Clare Xanthos

I’m a researcher and writer focusing on racial equity, social justice, and cultural identity. I have lived and worked in several countries, including the United Kingdom, United States, Barbados, and Nigeria, which informs my global perspective.

Some Career Snapshots

During my years at the Morehouse School of Medicine—first as a Senior Researcher (2007–2011) and later as an Assistant Professor (2011–2013)—I co‑edited the book Social Determinants of Health among African American Men (2012) and served as lead author of an article of the same name. At Morehouse, I also coordinated the Community Health Leadership Program at the Satcher Health Leadership Institute. Before joining Morehouse, I held a one-year research fellowship at the University of the West Indies in Barbados (2005–2006), following the completion of my Ph.D. in Social Policy from the London School of Economics.
